Update 1/1/17: I returned to Carrabba's again for New Year's Eve and decided to try something new-to-me: the wood-fired tilapia with the Italian side salad.The salad was good, with a nice vinaigrette dressing and blend of tomatoes, onion, carrots, lettuce, and olives. The tilapia was lacking in flavor, relying on the fragrant basil and balsamic vinegar to carry the responsibility of taste.

Entrees come with a choice of soup (yes, there are gluten-free ones!) or salad. (These combinations start at $12.) We both opted for salads—Caesar for me and house for Mr. GFE. The greens, and other toppings like Parmesan cheese and Mr. GFE's croutons (not gluten-free), were extremely fresh and tasty.

Carrabba's—a solid choice for gluten free Italian if you aren't in the mood for pasta, and you also like to eat meat. The gluten free entrées do all revolve around meat, but the Chicken Bryan is delicious. It's hard to beat the combination of goat cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, basil, and lemon butter sauce that tops this chicken. Better yet, I have celiacs and I've eaten Carrabba's.

Unfortunately there is still no gluten free pasta option at Carrabba's so those plates will be off limits but majority of their main entrees can be made gluten free. We recommend to try the salmon, other fish, steak, or chops, and pick two of the following gluten free sides: Grilled asparagus, sautéed broccoli, sautéed spinach, and steamed.
